Utopia
Nothing in the world
Could ever suffice
To replace the image
Of you by my side.
Tonight slowly ending
Through passage of sleep —
Becomes boring to the senses,
And dull to the heart.
But not all is lost,
For within sleep comes dreams —
Imagined, yet vivid destinations
Traveled by a longing mind.
Here is where Utopia awaits —
Where our laughter roams without barriers —
Where each passing day lasts a lifetime —
And where we never have to say goodbye.
